TV Oracle Podcast #3: Springtime for Airline and Best Week Ever

This week, the Oracles introduce their picks for the first "Diamonds in the Rough" segment, designed to introduce listeners to a few TV shows they may not be aware of. Blake's pick is VH-1's Best Week Ever, the pop culture version of The Daily Show. Reality show-junkie Clarence's pick is Airline, a show that has been unfairly ignored due to the current distaste for the more game show-oriented reality shows. Next, Clarence offers an early review of The Producers, the adaptation of the celebrated Broadway musical, and a review of The Family Stone, a complex family dramedy masquerading as a date movie.

Finally, somebody must have spiked the TV Oracle Kool-Aid because Blake offers up the longest Final Word(s) yet about a recent experience with internet piracy. Meanwhile, Clarence's rampant ADD tries its best to derail the conversation.

Enjoyed listening to the podcast. Definitely loved the film reviews. Are you going to be reviewing Memoirs of a Geisha? I loved the book, but the fact that they cast two chinese actresses into Japanese parts makes me a little incensed. Perhaps being 1/2 Japanese makes me a little biased.

We did mention the casting insensitivity on our first podcast. I'm not 100% sure if I'll fit it into my filmgoing schedule over the next week or so, but I will definitely try.

Ha. Well, we only mentioned the controversy briefly in our "Holiday Films" segment.
