TV Oracle Podcast #7: A Kong-sized Podcast
This week, the Oracles become a little ambitious and tackle a large number of topics. Still, they manage to pull the show in under an hour. Starting off with some recent headlines in the entertainment world, the Oracles debut their Winter's TV Guilty Pleasures. Well... Sort of. Blake's assumed guilty pleasure, Skating With Celebrities, didn't quite pack in the ice drama and cutting entertainment value that he'd hope it would. So, what does he pick instead? Find out as Clarence reveals his pick. A pick so guilty that its name will go unmentioned.
Next, Blake and Clarence managed to see not one but two films. They discuss their reactions to Peter Jackson's King Kong and provide an early review of Emma Thompson's Nanny McPhee, opening today.
The Oracles then introduce their inaugural DVD segment with Wes Craven's Red Eye, a film neither Oracle saw in the theaters. Were the Oracles white-knuckled with fear? And what's with the Rachel McAdams obsession?
Finally, Blake opens up the floor to our listeners for feedback to the HD DVD and Blue Ray battle in his Final Word.
...all that, under one hour.

TV Oracle Podcast #6: Check Out Our Globes!

It's the week of January 20th, and The Oracle's all up in the Golden Globes. Clarence and Blake share their reactions to the awards as well as some of the more entertaining moments from the "party of the year". Best party? Not sure about that since Tyler's 3rd birthday party at the Fun Machine was pretty kick-ass last year. I guess that was so last year.Moving on, The Oracle shares a review and a half on two new series: Crumbs and the recently-canceled Emily's Reasons Why Not. Jane Curtain is the lone shining star in the otherwise mediocre Crumbs. Clarence enjoyed it more than Blake, find out why...Lastly, what are we teaching our daughters? Clarence gets serious and fights for a woman president...or at least he wants to see more positive depictions of women on TV and in the media.TV Oracle Podcast #6: Check Out Our Globes!(30 mins) * Intro * TV: Crumbs and Emily's Reasons Why Not * TV/Film: Our Golden Globes Review * The Final WordHave a comment or topic suggestion you'd like to share with us? The Oracles present their most anticipated films of the coming year, which prove to be wildly different picks between the two. Blake is looking forward to a relatively light movie-going schedule while Clarence loads his list with heavy, dark, director-centric films. Finally, Clarence presents Blake with a daunting challenge... Will Blake accept?
Finally, Blake closes with a lighter-toned Final Word, designed to open a debate on the nature of "the Monster" from the January 11 episode of Lost.

TV Oracle Podcast #4: Looking Backward/Looking Forward TV Style
2005 is gone; a mere memory. Although it is in the Oracle's nature to be forward-looking, we take this week to reflect on the past. Clarence and Blake take time out from soothsaying and reveal each of their top 5 TV shows of 2005. Here's a hint, both agree. The Oracle can only fend off its prediction addiction for so long and cannot resist the temptation to discuss this month's crop of midseason replacements.
